About the Studio
Alexandra Pain Design is a Sydney-based interior design studio, working across new builds and major renovations through to more focused interior updates.
No two projects look the same, and that is entirely intentional. Rather than working to a signature aesthetic, each project is shaped by its own conditions: the architecture, the context, and the people it is designed for. This specificity allows the outcome to feel genuinely personal to its setting, and aligned with how it is experienced.
Every decision is made with the long term in mind, resulting in spaces that work beautifully from the outset and continue to feel right as they evolve over time.​
About Alexandra
Alexandra Pain is the founder and principal designer of Alexandra Pain Design.

With a Bachelor of Interior Design and extensive experience leading teams and managing complex projects, Alexandra brings both technical depth and experienced judgement to her work. A strong understanding of proportion, materials, and detail underpins her approach, together with the ability to guide clients with clarity and confidence throughout the design process.

Warm and perceptive, yet clear and decisive, she knows when to listen, when to challenge assumptions, and how to bring ideas into focus.
By taking on a limited number of projects at a time, Alexandra remains closely involved at every stage, bringing the same level of care and attention to every engagement.
